I have worked as a writing assistant at Kennesaw State University’s Writing Center since August 2021. As a writing assistant, I collaborate with students in-person and online to begin or revise written work. I breakdown assignment guidelines for students while teaching grammar and formatting concepts. Doing so keeps me up to date with writing styles such as MLA, APA, and CMS. Outside of one-on-one tutoring, I visit classrooms to lead outreach presentations and writing workshops upon request. I created and continue to lead For Better or for Verse Poetry Club. Every semester I help train new employees in tutoring best practices.
