Entitled To

Entitled To is a one-act play I wrote in undergrad. The piece was selected for production as a staged reading in Kennesaw State University's Spring 2024 New Works and Ideas Festival.

Synopsis:
Entitled To is a compelling drama that explores the complex lives of two women from contrasting backgrounds, Cecily and Draper, whose paths intersect in unexpected ways at the discovery they are blood-related. The play unfolds as the two different worlds collide, revealing shared struggles, desires, and the quest for belonging. As secrets unravel and relationships are tested, the characters are forced to confront their own realities and respond in the form of life-altering decisions. Entitled To highlights generational and societal conflicts and explores themes of identity, social class, family dynamics, and the pursuit of genuine connections in a world full of expectations and constraints but also freedom and love. Think Bridgerton meets The Princess and the Pauper.
